Casa 'El Jinete' is a new luxury corner apartment for 4 (adults) in Mar de Cristal. Very peacefully located between the sea (Mar Menor at 650m) and the mountains (3km). You can enjoy endless summers, breathtaking nature and still be close to all amenities. The apartment is on the first floor and is equipped with 2 bedrooms (2 x 2 single beds - 1.60m; 1.80m) and 2 bathrooms, one of which is en suite. The master bedroom has a large dressing room. There is a spacious living room of 40m² with a modern and well-equipped open kitchen. The floor-to-ceiling sliding windows provide access to the large front terrace with views of the pool and the mountains. From the corner you can catch a glimpse of the sea in the distance, above the beautiful villas. Your (rental) car can be parked in the underground parking. The front terrace is furnished with numerous garden furniture to enjoy the sun. In the morning the sun comes out early on this terrace and stays until midday. Breakfast on the terrace is heavenly! The beautiful landscape pool offers many possibilities. There is a small sunbathing area and the pool has a shallow section for children. The nature around Mar Menor is exceptionally beautiful. The Calblanque nature reserve, where sea turtles breed, the idyllic fishing village Cabo de Palos and the Mar Menor golf club (where Belgian top clubs come to spend the winter!) are all just 5 minutes away by car. Certainly also accessible for the experienced walker and cyclist (MTB). The apartment is within walking distance (650m) of the Mar de Cristal beaches. It has fine sandy beaches, warm water, beautiful views and more than 320 days of sunshine per year. The beautiful wide beaches of Playa Honda and the nature reserve with the salt lakes 'Salinas de Marchamalo' are adjacent to these. The many beaches of Mar Menor (inland sea) as well as the beaches of the Mediterranean are easily accessible, on foot, by bike or by car. These are just some of the reasons why this beautiful part of Spain attracts so many people! In Mar Menor there are many opportunities to practise various water sports such as kayaking, surfing, paddle surfing ... or to rent a boat without a skipper's licence. You can drop anchor wherever you want to go snorkelling. The small typical Spanish but versatile village 'Los Bolones' is 1.5 km away and has a lot to offer: terraces, shops, the weekly market, small restaurants, a local butcher, fresh fish shop, baker, schools ... A small village with all amenities. In Los Nietos you can take the train to the centre of Cartagena. Cartagena is a large lively city (200,000 inhabitants), rich in history and culture and located on the Mediterranean Sea. The natural harbour is a very deep bay where Spain's main naval base is located. Los Nietos station is within walking distance of the apartment (2 km). Cartagena is 15 km away, by train you get there in 30 minutes. Shopping is available in the large shopping centres of Cartagena, Dos Mares and Zenia Boulevard. Max 35 minutes drive from Mar de Cristal. Cartagena city also offers many trendy shops. Rental rates: From 495 €/week (low season) to 1100€/week (high season).
