Activities in the area
Near Casa Lianpa, in the quiet neighbourhood of San Luis/La Siesta, there is plenty to do for young and old!
Within walking distance you will find La Siesta Park, home to one of Europe's largest skateparks,
along with various sports facilities for padel, volleyball, football, fitness and much more (see photos in the attachments).
For nature lovers, the famous salt lakes of Torrevieja (Las Salinas) are an absolute must – ideal for walking, cycling or spotting flamingos. The beautiful seafront of Torrevieja, with its cosy terraces, shops and lively atmosphere, is also within easy reach (4 km). For water enthusiasts, there are also two large aqua parks nearby, perfect for a day of fun with the whole family.
In short, the area around Casa Lianpa offers relaxation, action and nature – all within reach!
City trips from Torrevieja
Around Torrevieja there are several interesting destinations that are ideal for a city trip. Here are the three most important ones:
Elche (Elda) – About 30 minutes' drive from Torrevieja is Elche, famous for its impressive palm forests (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Palacio de Altamira. Elche also has a rich history, with Arab influences and a charming old town.
Alicante – About an hour's drive from Torrevieja you will find Alicante, a larger city with a magnificent old town (El Barrio), the Castillo de Santa Bárbara, and beautiful beaches. The city also has a vibrant nightlife and many cultural attractions such as museums and art galleries.
Murcia – About 45 minutes' drive away is Murcia, a city with a rich history and lively atmosphere. Murcia Cathedral, the Roman Theatre and the Jardín de Floridablanca are some of the highlights. Murcia is also known for its gastronomy, so ideal for food lovers.
These cities offer a mix of culture, history and beautiful landscapes, perfect for a short excursion from Torrevieja.
