Villa Rêvelot is located in the Lot, in the delightful wine region of Malbec, not far from Cahors. It is situated in a very quiet, almost residential area, at the highest point of the region yet close to the magnificent medieval town of Puy L'Evêque. Restaurants, shops, bakery, everything can be found within a short distance (walking distance). The villa can accommodate a maximum of 8 people, is tastefully furnished, has all possible facilities and is fully equipped. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, 2 TVs with Flemish TV, making it ideal for 2 families. Additionally, a spacious living room, kitchen, laundry room, mezzanine. Everything is fully basements and houses a real man cave with an Irish bar, pool table and dartboard. In the cellar there are also 4 sturdy bicycles available, including mountain bikes and an electric ladies' bike. You can cycle nicely flat along the Lot river on an old railway line, but experienced cyclists will also find plenty to their liking going uphill as much as they want. Once you leave the Lot valley, it goes steeply uphill. There is a back terrace with pergola and a front terrace with a view of the heated swimming pool. So there is always sun or shade to be found somewhere. Next to the house is also a spacious lawn with a private boules court. 200m behind the house, the Lot river winds its way through countless vineyards. The town of Puy L'Evêque rivals Saint-Cirq-Lapopie for the title of prettiest spot on the Lot. It's lovely to stroll through the narrow streets of the old part, often with very beautiful views. There are several good restaurants, ranging from bib-gourmands to even Michelin-starred establishments. A Flemish wine grower lives nearby, who has various wines with different awards. The surrounding area also has a lot to offer: the castle of Bonaguil, Domme, Sarlat, Albi, Cahors, the pilgrimage site Rocamadour, Penne d'Agenais, caves of Padirac... It is also not far from Kurt's B&B (B&B looking for love), so close to Lot-et-Garonne which is also called the Tuscany of France. The service we also offer is that we invite renters (if they feel like it of course...) beforehand without obligation to our house in Belgium, so that we can provide them with all possible information in advance about the house, about restaurants, attractions, etc., which will undoubtedly contribute to a successful holiday! Price July/Aug €1500/week, May/Jun/Sep €1250/week, Easter/Christmas/New Year €1200/week and other months €1000/week. For longer rental periods outside the high season, for example in spring or autumn when it is also pleasant to stay, or in winter, we can discuss granting a discount on the weekly price. There are 2 fireplaces, a Godin wood stove and a pellet stove. Moreover, there is an opening from the hall to the mezzanine above, allowing heat to rise well and making the upper floor pleasantly warm in winter as well. Wishing you much success and looking forward to a lovely holiday! From Wim and Paula! The house is not accessible for young people only and may not be used for festivities or gatherings.
