Come on holiday to Souillac! Never heard of it, you say? Then it's not too late to make up for that. You know Souillac, you say? Then we understand why you're looking for another holiday address in this beautiful area… Souillac is located in the Dordogne valley. This magnificent elegantly meandering river provides a wonderful backdrop for your walks, bike rides, canoe trips and car journeys. From the surrounding limestone plateaus you can enjoy magnificent views free of charge. Castles, charming authentic villages, caves with and without prehistoric drawings (including Lascaux), the famous pilgrimage site Rocamadour, aqua parks, dino parks and adventure parks for those who still have the playfulness in them, markets, little restaurants and farm shops for those who appreciate good food and local cuisine… You won't be bored here for a moment. We ourselves have been living here since 2014, so we're getting to know it pretty well. We therefore enjoy really helping you on your way to good addresses and nice activities during your holiday. In the house there are three guest rooms: two double rooms and a family room (up to 5 people, minimum age 14 years). We also have two larger twin rooms in the coach house next door. These have their own lounge and terrace, one of them even has its own kitchen. If you book a room, breakfast is always included. Evening meals are only possible outside peak season and by arrangement. For water rats and sun worshippers among you: there is a large swimming pool and a considerable chance of sun. There are seating areas in the garden and a fridge full of chilled drinks. What are you waiting for? We also have a website: www.lemanoir.info. The Mauzac room is located on the first floor of the romantic country house. It has been recently completely renovated and equipped with all modern comforts. It features its own bathroom with toilet and a bathtub with shower. The room and bathroom have an area of approximately 20 m². The bed is 160 cm wide. Expect a delicious breakfast every morning, with fresh baguette and fresh croissants, delicious fruit juice, coffee, tea, sweet and savoury spreads and a special surprise every day. Guest Room Négrette is a suite consisting of two separate interconnected bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The room is located on the first floor of our house. The first room has a double bed, the second room has two (or three) single beds. The family room is therefore suitable for a family or group of friends of up to 5 people, but it also lends itself to two people sleeping in separate rooms. In your private bathroom you have a spacious walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The rooms and bathroom together have an area of 39 m². Enjoy a delicious breakfast every morning, with fresh baguettes and fresh croissants, lovely fruit juice, coffee, tea, sweet and savoury spreads and a daily surprise extra. For acoustic reasons, we only accept guests aged 14 and over in this room.

About this room

Our guest room on the ground floor is actually a studio with an area of 45 m². You will find not only a double bed, but also your own living room and a dining table. Additionally, there is plenty of space to set up a (free) baby crib. The spacious bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. Your private entrance leads out onto your south-facing terrace, equipped with a table, chairs, parasol and sun lounger. Of course, outside the high season you can join us at our guests' table/table d'hôtes and use our dining area with regional library, but if you prefer, you can also optionally use your own fully equipped kitchen, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and cooktop. To complete your holiday feeling, you also get a barbecue on top of that. You pay an extra 15 € per day for this. Expect a delicious breakfast every morning, with fresh baguettes and fresh croissants, lovely fruit juice, coffee, tea, sweet and savoury spreads and a daily surprise extra.

    Topadresje! We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in Le Manoir. Na de lange wandelingen in de fantastische natuur was het heerlijk uitrusten bij Marion en Jan. Het grote landhuis is authentiek, mooi en smaakvol ingericht. De kamer biedt alles wat je nodig hebt. Een enorme troef is de eerlijke keuken met pure streekgebonden ingrediënten. Zowel bij het ontbijt als bij het diner word je verrast met een extraatje, om duimen en vingers af te likken. En natuurlijk zijn Marion en Jan een paar naar ons hart, gewoon oprecht en open. Dus is Le Manoir een échte aanrader.

    Genoten van enkele fijne dagen bij een vlotte, aangename gastheer en zijn dame, die trouwens elke dag voor een 'specialleke' zorgde bij het uitgebreide ontbijt. Jan is een wijnkenner met een mooie wijnkaart die elke dag klaar staat met heel wat interessante tips rond mogelijke bezoekjes in de streek en goeie restaurants. En hij neemt elke avond de tijd om even te checken hoe je dag is geweest. Kortom, een leuke plaats om vakantie te houden.

Topadresje! We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in Le Manoir. Na de lange wandelingen in de fantastische natuur was het heerlijk uitrusten bij Marion en Jan. Het grote landhuis is authentiek, mooi en smaakvol ingericht. De kamer biedt alles wat je nodig hebt. Een enorme troef is de eerlijke keuken met pure streekgebonden ingrediënten. Zowel bij het ontbijt als bij het diner word je verrast met een extraatje, om duimen en vingers af te likken. En natuurlijk zijn Marion en Jan een paar naar ons hart, gewoon oprecht en open. Wij zijn als onderdeel van Walk a Lot (wandelen van chambre d'hotes naar chambre d'hotes in de Dordogne/Lot) een aantal dagen in le Manoir geweest. Le Manoir is een prachtig oud huis, met een bloemrijke tuin, mooie kamers, fijn zwembad, aardige eigenaren en lekker eten. Het verblijf in le Manoir en de formule van Walk a Lot zijn ons heel goed bevallen. Het is een prachtige omgeving om te wandelen en dicht bij de bezienswaardigheden van de Dordogne. We kunnen het iedereen aanraden.

Eind april 2024 heerlijk gewandeld in de Lot. Fantastisch 8-daags arrangement langs 3 tables d'hôtes via https://walkalot.eu. Routes goed bewegwijzerd, digitaal en onderweg. Mooie, afwisselende omgeving. Heerlijk eten en een zeer sympathieke ontvangst. Een aanrader!

Le Manoir is een heerlijke plaats om je vakantie in de Dordogne door te brengen. De kamers zijn zeer smaakvol ingericht en van alle comfort voorzien. Marion en Jan zijn toppers. Niets is hen teveel gevraagd. Jan geeft je uitstekende tips om fijne uitstapjes te maken en Marion zorgt dagelijks voor een heerlijk ontbijt. Op vraag kan je tijdens het weekend genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd. We voelden ons zeer welkom en vooral de gemoedelijke en huiselijke sfeer zal ons bijblijven. Wij komen graag nog eens terug. Bedankt Marion en Jan!

Stop agréable, pratique (à 5 km de l'autoroute) et très reposant sur le trajet sud France vers la Belgique. Hôte très accueillant. Chambre aménagée avec goût. Ne changez rien c'est parfait!

Wij hadden de wandelvakantie geboekt. Super leuk concept. Heel lekker gegeten, comfortabele kamers, verzorgd lunchpakket en heel vriendelijke eigenaars. Ook lekkere biertjes geproefd en leuke babbels gehad. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Marion en Jan, jullie doen dit super goed. Wij voelden ons direct op ons gemak bij aankomst. Wij hebben dan ook genoten van deze week, vol wandelingen en rust. Wij zijn opgeladen terug naar huis gereden. Het ontbijt en de avond maaltijden waren top. Zeer mooie locatie.

Positief: . rustige ligging, maar toch vlakbij winkels, activiteiten . aangename en gemoedelijke gastheer en -vrouw . prachtig gerenoveerde gîtes, vlakbij het zwembad Negatief: . beperkt bereik op GSM, maar dat is eigenlijk ook een voordeel gebleken!
